Future Plan Does Not Equal PR

In all honesty, I'm not planning on going into PR when I graduate. I want to go into book publishing and editing after I graduate, and I thought that having a PR concentration might put more of an edge on my resume. This is my second PR course (my first was PR writing), and after a month in this course, I have come to the conclusion the public relations is a hybrid between journalism and marketing. After taking multiple journalism courses and editing for Eagle News, I found out that journalism is extremely hard work, and you have to love that work in order to be successful, and I am not creative enough for marketing, so making PR a career does not appeal to me. Don't take me wrong, I find PR interesting, but that's about as far as I would want to take it.
